Type:  Rock fall on glacier surface
Description  A great rock-fall from Cervino peak (southern slope) occurred on July 9th, at 10.30 AM, and reached the below Cervino glacier. A new event occurred on August 18th, 1943. The total volume of rocks detached was about 240.000 m3.
Effects:  A great quantity of debris accumulated on the glacier. No significant consequences were reported out of glacier.
