Description  Calving. Some blocks of the glacier front broke away, and slid down below the glacier.
Effects:  A polish woman was seriously hurt, when she was hit by ice - blocks and thrown into the water.

Type:  Glacier length changes
Description  The opening of the water-tunnel in front of the glacier collapsed, and dammed up the river for a while. When the dam broke, huge masses of water and ice-blocks slid down below the glacier.
Effects:  12 people were caught by the water and ice - masses, and 2 of them died, drowning, or wore injured bye the ice-blocks.
